I got into fitness because…
I wanted a 5K t-shirt & a medal! Next thing you know I am doing dozens of 10ks, Duathlons, Triathlons, Half Marathons & 5 Full Marathons. Training and working toward a goal has made me feel amazing, confident, increase my mood, sleep better, deal w/Stress better AND got me a lot of t-shirts & medals! Helping people feel all the things I experienced over the years & helping push them to their goal is priceless! I love helping others see that no matter their current size, weight, shape, experience, mental or physical state they can succeed with hard work, determination & persistence! What did I do w/ all those t-shirts & medals…? My mom made me a T-shirt quilt & my Christmas tree has medals for ornaments!

A little about me and what I like to do when I am not training…
I enjoy being at the pool or beach w/ my family, volunteer teaching Yoga, running, cycling, rock climbing or anything outdoor. I love reality TV, football, eating, grocery shopping, live music and Zumba. I just tried SUP and love it!

Advice for newbies:
When the day is over, let it go. Don’t dwell on what you could’ve or should’ve done. Tomorrow is another day & another chance to try again. Once you control your mind, you can conquer your body. You have to like what you eat & be excited about your workout. Pick things you will be excited to eat not dreading it; eating is fun! Same goes for the workout, there are many to choose from so I mix it up, try new workouts, and keep the body guessing. If you can achieve this then you are set!

Meal Plan

Breakfast-Egg whites w/salsa, Shakology, Cottage Cheese, Coffee
Snack-Apple & Berries w/Yogurt
Lunch-Tuna w/Veggies & Black beans mixed w/mustard
Snack-Egg white wrap w/Whole wheat tortilla, Salsa & Veggies or Shakeology
Dinner-Salad w/Grilled Chicken or Tuna, Blk beans & Raw Veggies. (Bell pepper, Celery, Carrots), Cottage Cheese, Shakeology.
